After losing 2-0 in the semi-final first leg against Sevilla Barcelona once again bounced back in the 2^nd leg by defeating Sevilla 3-0 and with an aggregate of 3-2 then reach the finals of Copa del Rey. In the first leg of the semi-final Team Messi lost to Sevilla 2-0 in Andalusia. But as Barcelona have the habit of bouncing back from such situations in the second leg on Barcelona didn’t gave a single chance to Sevilla and won it by a 3-0 margin.

In the 12^th minute, Ousmane Dembele scored the first goal for Barcelona. But still they were 2-1 down on aggregate. Barcelona did all their best to score another goal in the first half but the Sevilla’s defenders made sure that they didn’t get that. Barcelona came into deep trouble when Barcelona defender Oscar Mingueza committed a foul on Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos in the 72^nd minute. This gave Sevilla a bright chance of increasing the lead to 3-1 and take a step closer to the final. But Goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen did a brilliant save to the penalty kick of Sevilla’s Lucas Ocampos. Goalkeeper Marc was truly a main hero for Barcelona as he made three crucial saves in the entire match and was key man behind FC Barcelona’s victory over Sevilla in the 2^nd leg.

However, Barcelona was still lagging 2-1 and were on the brink of bowing out of the final race. But Gerard Pique gave them the much-required goal in the 90+4 minute to level with Sevilla 2-2 on aggregate. But more joy came for Barcelona when Martin Braithwaite scored a goal in the 95^th minute and gave Barcelona the lead over Sevilla. And when the final whistle blew the FC Barcelona players and the whole camp were above the moon as they reached their 42^nd Copa del Rey final.

The main man Lionel Messi may have scored a goal in the match but also played a key role in Barcelona’s victory over Sevilla in the second leg. His fantastic touches and great passes really kept the Sevilla’s defenders busy all the time. FC Barcelona were mainly banking on him in the second half for a goal. He tried all his best to get that goal and one time has also close in getting a goal. The other man on whom FC Barcelona were banking on was Antoine Griezmann. However, Griezmann didn’t got a goal but helped Barcelona in getting the much required equalizer by providing a fantastic pass to Gerard Pique which gave Barcelona their second goal.
