Indonesia has a village in which village houses are painted in the colours of the rainbow. To meet the plight of the rainbow, the tribals have decorated the whole village with the colours of the rainbow. If you visit ten more villages in Indonesia, you can easily see the difference in the colour of this village. The name of the village is Kampung Pelangi. People who used to visit Indonesia earlier did not go to this village, and they did not go there. But after the village was transformed into a rainbow, the information spread through social media and now every year there is a flood of tourists.

This village in Indonesia is decorated with colourful paintings. Although it is called Kampung Village, it has another name all over the world. The name that brought it fame is Rainbow Village. This village was once very dilapidated, dirty, unclean village, people used to live in a hostile environment. Today, whether that village or not, tourists are flocking together. In fact, at one time the village was going through a very bad situation, the villagers fell into the financial crisis. That's when a 54-year-old teacher by the name of Slamet Widodo came up with a special way to think about how to save the village. At that very moment, the Indonesian government also didn't cooperate with the village. They decided to demolish the village. In that situation, the old teacher wants an opportunity from the government to revive the village. Then the initiative was taken to paint the whole village in seven colours of the rainbow. All the villagers participated in this colourful initiative. Together with the artistic people of the village, he bought a paintbrush and started drawing in the village paintbrush.

From the streets to the houses, the walls of the house, the roof, the stairs, the building, everything seems to come alive in a flash of colour. It took less disbelief to paint the whole village, in just a month. A number of cartoon characters are also painted with paintbrushes for variety. And that changes the design of the village, and the way of life of the people. To decorate the streets, colourful umbrellas, clothes and many other things are brought and placed in the right places. Seen from a distance, one would say that this village looks like a rainbow. At present there are 232 houses. Endangered villagers have now started dreaming of a new way of life. After that a large number of tourists started slowly coming in the village. And the village economy flourished from tourism. Tourists take pictures of the colourful walls, buy various things made by the villagers. For tourists, the entrance fee to the village is only 50 cents and the ticket is also a novelty. Along with it the tourists are given a key ring or any souvenir made by the villagers. About Rs 24 lakh is spent every year to keep the village colourful, though that money comes from tourism.
